found friday: michelle tavares

It's been a while since i've done found friday, so here it is! Michelle Tavares' pretty watercolor and ink Poppies. She has a lot of other gorgeous work too so be sure to check out her etsy shop. The painting reminds me of this song I've been hearing around recently. Where have they been for the past decade?? Im pretty sure the song is not about pretty poppy flowers though....

happy fin de semana

back to life, back to reality

we had a lovely little family vacation in palm beach gardens, florida visiting my husbands family. these photos are from a botanical garden there. my girls loved the flowers and butterflies everywhere and in the last photo were leaning over with their Papi looking at turtles swimming. now its back to reality :/

featured in reader's digest

I've been featured in the May 2012 issue of Reader's Digest (!) . My mom called me the day she got her magazine in the mail which was right in the beginning of April and read to me what it said. Idaho must be ahead of the game because I could not get a hold of a copy in Jersey for what seemed like an eternity. I am currently vacationing in sunny south Florida and finally I ran my sandy bum into a barnes and noble and got my hands on this copy.
Check out page 35 if you get it. If not, check it out next time you are waiting in a doctors office or the check out line. Back to much needed vacationing.. no more posts until I get back!
